A postal code identifies the delivery area for an address. In Turkey, postal codes have five digits. Together with the province, district and neighborhood or village, they help complete an address.
One code can be used by more than one locality. Check the place names beside a search result as well as the number. Street, building and apartment details remain separate parts of the full address.
Postal codes are used for letters and parcels, online shopping delivery addresses, and billing or contact forms with a postal code field. Choose the code for the neighborhood or village in the address you are entering.
If your delivery and billing addresses differ, check the code for each one. When changing a saved address, review the postal code too rather than keeping the previous number.

Choose the locality written in your address. If similar names appear, compare the district and any municipality details before selecting a record.
Use the code on the locality page in your address form. If you already have a code, search all five digits to find the matching places.
Use your address’s five-digit postal code in a field labeled “Postal code”, “ZIP code” or “Posta kodu”. Enter the province and district in their own fields. Write the digits together and keep any leading zero.
For example, 34710 is listed for Caferağa neighborhood, Kadıköy, İstanbul. If your address is in a different neighborhood, open its record to check the code instead.
Include the locality, street, building and apartment number in the full address section. On an envelope or address label, you can write the postal code before the district and province.

For an address in Turkey, enter the five-digit postal code of the neighborhood or village. Select the correct country if the form has a country field, and add the province, district and street in their own fields.
A leading zero is part of the code. Writing 06420 as 6420 removes a digit and changes its five-digit format. Store postal codes as text when exporting them to a file so that the zero is preserved.

Find the correct province, district and locality and check the code. Update an unsubmitted form or saved address. If an order or shipment already exists, ask the seller or service handling it about corrections; changing a saved address may not update an existing shipment.
If a form has a separate postal code field, use it. On an envelope or label, the code can go before the district and province, for example 34710 Kadıköy / İstanbul. Include the recipient, locality, street and building details as well.
